Melodic Patterns

Melodic patterns are essential in the creation of motives for composition and improvisation.

Tessitura Pro offers a systematic method to generate melodic patterns either for compositional purposes or to practice them on your instrument for improvisation.

We have included hundreds of patterns, or you can create your own. 

There are 4 elements you will combine when creating a pattern, which is then applied to the current structure in the current key:

• Skip-Step Patterns

• Approaches - Escape Notes

• Rhythm & Rhythmic Displacement

• Harmonizer

The freedom of applying any combination of these four elements over any scale or mode (structure) is a powerful tool that will give you more than enough work and ideas to use the rest of your musical life :)
