The main circle panel

The main circle panel is where you interact and load your current structure

This panel is all based on the  Circle of Fifths  and its properties

You  change the key  (the key is always the top node in the circle) by using the  rotating wheel on the outside of the circle , or the  easy-turn  buttons to turn the circle just one node to the left or right.  You can show/hide these buttons on the Top Circle Menu Panel

To browse the different modes, use the  rotating wheel inside the circle  , or the  easy-trun  buttons.

Turn on the  Lock-source-key button  to lock the source to its key and browse all the modes of the structure where the keys are related to the key of the source.

i.e. With the  LOCK OFF , you will go from  C Ionian  to  C Mixolydian  to  C Dorian,  etc.

With the  LOCK ON , you will go from  C Ionian  to  G Mixolydian  to  D Dorian , etc. Always keeping the source mode (Ionian) in the key of C

On the four corners of the structure card you will find the  amount of Notes, transpositions and modes , also if the structure is a source you will see an   , otherwise you will see the number of the mode relative to the source

i.e. here’s G Mixolydian showing a 5 in the Mode, which also tells you the name of the source (Major Scale)

Mark as Favorite

Use this check box to tag your favorite scales so you can easily find them later on.  You can filter the collection of structures shown in the  Finder Panel  to only show favorites

Here I’ve marked Mixolydian as one of my favorites. A start will appear in the structure card to indicate it is one of my favorites
