Preferences Panel

The  Preferences Panel  is always available on the right panel

Use Key Signatures

Enable it if you want Tessitura show an  available key signature  for the current structure


Use Only Standard Key Signatures

You may disable the use of  only  standard key signatures if you want Tessitura to look for an  alternative key signature  when the current structure does not have a standard one.


Show Accidentals on every note

You have the option of showing an accidental for every note including naturals


Include Tensions in Chord Symbols

Show the complete chord symbol for the current structure with all its tensions


Time Signature

Choose the time signature. The Metronome clicks with adjust accordingly


Color Approach Notes, Color Roots, Color First-In-Pattern

Tessitura can color the notes depending on their functionality within the pattern. It  differentiates  chromatic approaches from diatonic ones. You may also color all the notes that are roots (same as the key) and also color the first note (or notes with approaches) in the pattern cycle.


Use Tensions in Chords Before Pattern

Choose whether you want the chord that plays before the pattern starts to include the tensions when played. (The  Play Chord  button must be enabled in the patterns panel for the chord to play)


Single Staff for Patterns

Disable this option if you want the patterns panel to use a  grand staff


Single Staff / Grand Staff count

Select the amounts of staves to be shown in the patterns panel


Bass Clef

Enable the bass clef to view Tessitura using the bass clef


Tabs

Enable the tabs button to view the staff under the main circle and patterns as guitar tablature notation


Written Range

Choose the range of your instrument (or the range within your instrument’s range in which you want to practice) Use the sliders to choose the min and max notes


Limit Pattern to;

Choose 1 Octave or 2 Octaves to limit the pattern’s range or Full Range to let the pattern use the full range you’ve established in the written range


Prioritize High Register on Ostinatos

Choose whether you would like to practice ostinato pattern over your instrument’s high or low range


Ostinato Repetitions

Choose how many times you want to repeat patterns that are ostinatos


Next Key

Choose the modulation that will be applied when you use the  Next Key Buttons


Next Mode

Choose whether you want to go to the next mode  around the circle  or the next mode in  ascending order by number


Guitar Fret Count

Choose the amount of frets you want the guitar view panel to show


Transposition

Select your instrument’s key here


MIDI OUT

Tessitura can send notes via MIDI. Enable this button if you want to send the notes via MIDI to other software.  Note:  When MIDI OUT is enabled Tessitura will NOT play the notes using its own sounds bank, so will not hear any notes unless you are connected to the receiver.

Notes = Channel 1 and Metronome = Channel 10


Flipped Circle

Enable the Flipped Circle button if you want Tessitura to show the  Circle of Fifths counter-clockwise
